Tourism Q&A for Ho Chi Minh City using sentence embeddings and keyword search over Neo4j place nodes.

Problem

A visitor may describe a destination in free text or remember only part of its name; the system needs to find relevant place records.

Contribution

FastAPI retrieval flow combining Neo4j vector and keyword searches.

Architecture

Technical challenge

Combine Neo4j vector index matches with Cypher keyword node search, optionally filter by province, and pass retrieved node content to Gemini.

  • Gemini uses retrieved node content when available, or general knowledge when retrieval yields none.

Movie booking platform with seat holds, live seat updates, order creation, checkout integration, and a Gemini-powered catalog assistant.

Problem

Customers need current seat availability while booking and order state changes are handled by the API.

Technical challenge

Coordinate temporary Redis-backed seat holds with Socket.IO seat broadcasts as booking requests arrive.

  • Redis Lua code manages seat holds; Socket.IO broadcasts seat changes.
  • NestJS creates bookings and orders, Stripe payment intents support checkout, and Gemini handles catalog questions.
